Miyamoto talks: Revolution, Wi-Fi and more

Shigeru Miyamoto DSShigeru Miyamoto gave some extra details on the revolution on a recent interview to EGM, we are getting used to not expecting a lot from recent interviews where nintendo people just discuss little details and this is not the exception.

He talked a bit about the games they could be planning for the upcoming console hinting new Pikmin and Luigi´s mansion sequels: “Nothing’s set in stone yet, but the interface we’re creating for the Revolution is well suited to Pikmin”.

Miyamoto san also talked a bit about the Wi-Fi possibilities, as expected, the Revolution will connect to the DS and he also said the console won´t have an Ethernet port, just the USB we already know about.

He also answered some questions about the critics regarding the graphics and the lack of built-in DVD support.

I don´t know why the critics on the graphics keep coming, i mean, we still don´t even know the specs and we certainly haven´t seen in game graphics.

You can read more of this interview at Eurogamer.

Resident Evil 5 is going multiplatform

By Nintendude under Resident Evil, Gaming News

Resident Evil 5

Great News, the next installement of the Resident Evil series will be going multiplatform at least for the 360 and PS3. This will be the first Resident Evil ever seen on a Microsoft´s console.

There is no word on wheter the game will be launched also for the Nintendo Revolution but i think the chances are good and there´s not an ofiicial announcement only because of the lack of information about Nintendo´s console.

Famitsu also released the image above which would be featuring, according to rumours the main character for the game.

Update: There´s actually a teaser of the game. Sorry i didn´t know that before, you can watch it here.

Worms are coming to the DS

By Nintendude under Worms DS, Nintendo DS, Nintendo News

Worms DSThe little worms who enjoy killing each other with flying sheeps are coming to both portable gaming consoles accoriding to a recent announcement.

THQ and Team 17 are already on the works to bring a version of Worms to the Nintendo DS and the PSP.

This sounds like a great idea, i really enjoyed the original version of worms for the PC and i think with the multiplayer capabilities of both versions this could be a really fun game if it gets done right.

There are not details about a release date or even the kind of gameplay the game will be featuring but i´m sure we´ll be hearing about that soon.

No godfather for the cube

According to this article at Yahoo news, The godfather has been delayed until March, 2006. This means a 5 mont delay from it´s original launch date but there´s also one more thing: There will be no Gamecube´s version. This is really weird coming from Electronic Arts since most of their game are for every single console.

There are rumours that EA could have made an agreement with Microsoft and Sony and this will not be the last time we hear this kind of news.

The godfather will be released for PS2, XBox, PC and a next generation version is on the works.

Shame on you EA!.

Nintendo Revolution will not be revealed at TGS

By Nintendude under Nintendo Revolution, Nintendo News

Tokyo Game ShowAccording to the Tokyo Game show 2005 exhibitor´s list, Nintendo won´t show up for the event. This wouldn´t be the first time they do this since they have skipped the TGS before.

This probably means we won´t be seeing info on the Revolution and since there are not big events remaining in the gaming industry for this year i wouldn´t be surprised if we don´t see a lot of Nintendo´s next gen console until next year. A extra conference is not discarded yet, most likely this would happen on Xbox 360 launch month but i wouldn´t get my hopes up.

TGS is scheduled for September 16 to September 18, this event is like the japanese version of the e3 important developers like Capcom and Bandai will be assisting to show games that as usual are not expected to launch in America.
