Metroid Prime Hunters delayed

Yep, our little Metroid Prime Hunters countdown is gone, Nintendo has announced the game´s launch has been delayed just like Twilight Princess until, at least, the first quarter of 2006.

No details were revealed on why Hunters was pushed back but everyone seems to be thinking the same: to support Wi-Fi.

Well, i guess we´ll have to wait some extra months and if it´s to add the wi-fi support i think it might be worth the wait.

Famicom Micro

Famicom Micro

I´m not sure exactly why but it seems that the 8-bit consoles are cool these days. Nintendo has revealed a new Famicom themed design for the Game Boy Micro, this one will also be available on September 13th along with the other colors.

I have bad and good news for you. The bad news is the Famicom Micro will only be available in Japan, the good news is Micros don´t have region issues, you can import one and it´ll play your games with no problem.

Mario 128 video?

Mario 128

NGC France has published this pictures apparently taken from a screening at the games convention in Germany. I think the graphics look old for a next generation game and this was probably a video to entertain the people who assisted to the event.

Game Boy Micro accesories

By Nintendude under Game Boy Micro

Game Boy Micro WirelessThe game boy micro, due to it´s size, doesn´t have the same port as the GBA and Nintendo has announced they´ll be launching a new series of accesories specially designed for the micro to communicate with regular GBA and SP ports.

First there is the wireless adapter wich will be able to “connect” with both regular wireles adapters for the gba and other gbm adapters. Next we have a regular link cable for the games that don´t use the wireless adapter, this cable can only link up two game boy micros, if you want to play multiplayer games with a GBA you will need a special adapter to plug into the regular GBA port.

This accesories have only been announced for Japan but i´m sure they´ll be launched worldwide. You can check out some pictures here.

The NES controller tv remote

Nes controller tv remote

Don´t you just love Mods? I think it´s great to see how far people´s imagination goes when they build something on a totally different case.

This is a really cool mod, it´s a tv remote built into a NES controller. A lot of buttons were left out but who cares when you can change the channel with this old school gaming controller.

By Nintendude under Game Boy Micro

Game Boy MicroAlmost exactly a moth away from it´s launch Nintendo has launched the official Game Boy Micro website. The site contains general information, technical specifications and a gallery with some of the different faceplate models.

There´s a cool feature wich compares the size of the Game Boy Micro with some real life objects like a pair of earrings, a cellphone, a key, a coin and even a fly.

The Game Boy Micro will be launched on September 19th at a $99 USD cost, it´ll avilable in 4 different colors (silver, black, pink, green and blue) at least in Europe while americans will get at least 3 faceplates to choose from.

Follow the link to go to the official GBM site.

Europe gets colors, music and smash football bundle

Nintendo DS Pink Remember the Nintendo conference we talked you about a couple of weeks ago? well, we didn´t get any revolution info but we certainly got a few surprises specially for European Nintendo fans.

At the Games Convention in Leipzig Nintendo announced they will be releasing a Gamecube bundle with the launch of Mario Smash Football. The package will include the game and a White Perl Gamecube wich sounds pretty cool. No price was given for this bundle.

They also announced they´ll be launching the DS in 2 new colors, well, not really new since Japan got´em centuries ago but they haven´t been distributed in the rest of the world. This new colors are Pink and Green.

But there are more surprises for you lucky europeans, in other Nintendo News, the company will be releasing the Play-Yan (probably with a different name), an add-on wich allows you to play mp3 and mpeg4 files on your Nintendo DS.

I think we should´ve seen before that this was basically a conference with European related news but i guess we all hoped they´d give away more info on the revolution.
