Nintendo asks about Wi Fi

Nintendo is running some tests to make the final adjustments to their Wi Fi network wich will launch by the end of the year. They are gathering some info on users connections, to do this, they are asking you to download a little application wich runs a few tests on your modem and connection, then sends the info back to Nintendo.

When the software is done, you get a small animal crossing related surprise ;).

You can download the software at nintendo.com (MyNintendo account needed).

Gamespy top 25 Gamecube games

By Nintendude under Nintendo News

Resident Evil 4I think it´s still a little early to publish a list named “The top 25 Gamecube games of all time” because there´s a long list of upcoming games that might get left out (Twilight Princess anyone?) but Gamespy made the list and i think it´s mostly accurate. It´s hard to agree with every single game on this kind of top lists but this one seems ok.

From Ikaruga to Resident Evil 4 the list features most of the Must Have games for the cube so be sure to check it out.

4 Pokémon games announced

By Nintendude under Pokemon, Game Boy, Nintendo DS, Nintendo News

Pokémon Diamond and pearl were delayed until 2006 but you won´t miss the Pocket Monsters for so long, there are a lot of Pokémon games coming soo. The latest issue of Comic Korokoro features some info on these new 3 announced games and also some details on Pokémon Rangers wich was already announced.

First we have Pokemon Torouze, a puzzle for the DS where the pieces are 380 of the existing pokémons. The mechanics of the game look pretty simple, you just have to align 4 pieces of the same kind yo erase them, pretty much like every other single puzzle game out there. There´s going to be a history mode where you will take the role of Lucy Lightfoot and rescue pokémons from an evil organisation and of course the multiplayer mode where the fun will begin. The game hits Japan on October 20th and i hope it´s as fun as Pokémon Puzzle.

Next we have Pokemon Fushigi no Dungeon Blue for the DS and Pokemon Fushigi no Dungeon Blue for the GBA, details were not given about these games but apparently it will be some kind of action RPG.

Additionally we have the first details on Pokémon Ranger coming next year right before Diamond and Pearl versions and will feature some kind of interaction with these games. Here you will take the role of a Pokémon Ranger (surprised?) and your mission will be work to protect the natural enviroment, save some pokémon in danger and some of the stuff we´ve seen this people do on the tv series.

Nintendo controller mouse

Nintendo Mouse

If you are tired of your old classic mouse and you miss the feeling of the old NES controller this is exactly what you need. This man turned his mouse into a NES controller.

The A and B Buttons are for clicking and he changed the cord to plug it via USB port.

I´m sure it is cool to surf the web with your NES controller but i´m sure it won´t be so much fun when your hand starts to hurt after a few hours of use.

Soul Calibur DS?

Soul Calibur DS

The image above has been recently going around the web. It might be fake but i think a DS version of Soul Calibur wouldn´t be such a bad idea.

Mario Superstar Baseball site prelaunch

Mario Superstar BaseballFor some reason Nintendo “prelaunched” Mario Superstar Baseball official site today. It doesn´t have a lot of content but you can get a cool Mario wallpaper, take a look at some screenshots and watch a teaser.

This game looks really fun, it´s the most expected one from the Mario sports series and will be launched on August 28th.

Another ratings controversy: Killer 7 this time

By Nintendude under Killer 7, Gaming News

We all have heard about the “hot coffe” controversy and how people managed to take advantage of videogames popularity to appear on tv. In the end, GTA got an AO rating and i think we all knew it wouldn´t end there.

Florida attourney, Jack Thompson who has been involved in several cases against videogames has new target: Killer7. He´s made a petition to the ESRB to change Killer 7´s rating form M (Mature) to AO.

i Think it´s ok to give the games an AO rating if they deserve it but is there something in Killer 7 that might offend a 17+ year old? I don´t think so.

I think we´ll be seeing more on this on the next daysso stay tuned. IGN has excerpts from the e-mail Thompson sent to Patricia Vance, president of the ESRB.
