Xenosaga DS Scans

By Nintendude under Xenosaga DS, Nintendo DS

Xenosaga is a game we all hoped to see in a Nintendo console. Namco is working on a DS version and there are already a few scans where we can see what looks like a 2-d system with 3-d backgrounds. I was hoping for a 3d game.

I´m sure Namco is going to make a good job in terms of gameplay and fun but seriously, the DS can pull off better graphics.

I know i´ve said this a lot lately but we might find more info about the game this weekend at the Tokyo game show.

Baten Kaitos II and Baten Kaitos DS

Baten KaitosFew days ago Namco kinda confirmed at their website that a Baten Kaitos game was coming for the Nintendo DS, we already knew the game was on the works but this pretty much tells us that the game is actually going to be launched. It is unknown if the game is going to be a sequel, a port or a differente story. Xenosaga DS was confirmed as well.

According to Famitsu, Namco would also be working on a sequel of the popular RPG for the cube, the game is called Baten Kaitos II: Hajimari No Tsubasa to Kamigami No Shishi or Baten Kaitos II: Wings of the Beginning and the Heir to the Gods, a pretty long name isn´t it?. Since this looks like a sequel we can discard that option for the DS game.

Hopefully we´ll find out more about this game at this weekend´s TGS.

Can competitors simply copy Revolution’s controller?

By Nintendude under Nintendo Revolution, Nintendo News

Perry Kaplan, NOA´s vice president of marketing and corporate affairs was recently asked about the revolution controller. Nintendo said one of the main reasons for not showing the controller was that the comptition might decide to copy the idea and add it to their own systems, so Kaplan was asked if the controller is actually something that can´t be simply added by Microsoft or sony as an add-on:

“The entire controller will be remarkably innovative. We’re working on something that truly will provide a unique gameplay experience. That’s our goal — to not only have a unique controller, but introduce a new way to enjoy games. We’ll have to see if its innovation inspires others to creativity as well. And remember, we are securing the appropriate intellectual property rights for the product.”

I´ve always wondered about this, i think the unique feature of the revolution´s controller would have to be something that directly interacts with the console´s hardware, otherwise, there´s no point in hiding it since they can just add it later even if the 360 or ps3 already launched.

Hopefully we´ll find answers this week, get ready for the TGS!.

Feel the magic cosplay

By Nintendude under Feel the magic, Oddities
Cosplay Feel the magic

Cosplay is one of those things that can result into both: a complete disaster or a really cool of gaming/anime characters real life representation. I think this one falls onto the second category.

Hours to Make: 5-10

Inspiration: My boyfriend wanted to cosplay Feel the Magic at AX05, so I made this pair of costumes for us.

Favorite Aspect: His fishie shirt.
