Twilight Princess delayed

By Nintendude under Twilight Princess, Zelda, Nintendo News

Twilight Princess

Today in Nintendo news, the company has made a couple of announcements with both, bad and good news for us Nintendo fans.

The bad news is The legend of Zelda: Twlight Princess launch has been delayed to some point after March 2006. The game was expected to be the king of the holiday season and most stores were already listing it for November.

It seems like the game needs more developing time and they want to pulish the last single detail. I think we will find out more about the reason for this delay on the TGS. I wonder what will Nintendo do now for the holidays, i mean, Metroid Prime Hunters is coming on October(hopefully), the new pokémon versions also got pushed back and i don´t see another big game coming.

With this statement they also released 7 new Twilight Princess screenshots, you can check them out here.

Eiji Aonuma to direct Zelda Revolution

By Nintendude under Eiji Aonuma, Zelda, Nintendo News

Eiji Aonuma, director of both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess (among others) has revealed to an Latin American magazine (Club Nintendo i´m guessing) he´ll be directing the first Zelda game for the Revolution.

These are not amazing news since he´s been deeply involved with pretty much every Zelda game since Ocarina of time but if they already have a director we can guess the game is already on the works.

Nintendo asks about Wi Fi

Nintendo is running some tests to make the final adjustments to their Wi Fi network wich will launch by the end of the year. They are gathering some info on users connections, to do this, they are asking you to download a little application wich runs a few tests on your modem and connection, then sends the info back to Nintendo.

When the software is done, you get a small animal crossing related surprise ;).

You can download the software at nintendo.com (MyNintendo account needed).

Gamespy top 25 Gamecube games

By Nintendude under Nintendo News

Resident Evil 4I think it´s still a little early to publish a list named “The top 25 Gamecube games of all time” because there´s a long list of upcoming games that might get left out (Twilight Princess anyone?) but Gamespy made the list and i think it´s mostly accurate. It´s hard to agree with every single game on this kind of top lists but this one seems ok.

From Ikaruga to Resident Evil 4 the list features most of the Must Have games for the cube so be sure to check it out.

4 Pokémon games announced

By Nintendude under Pokemon, Game Boy, Nintendo DS, Nintendo News

Pokémon Diamond and pearl were delayed until 2006 but you won´t miss the Pocket Monsters for so long, there are a lot of Pokémon games coming soo. The latest issue of Comic Korokoro features some info on these new 3 announced games and also some details on Pokémon Rangers wich was already announced.

First we have Pokemon Torouze, a puzzle for the DS where the pieces are 380 of the existing pokémons. The mechanics of the game look pretty simple, you just have to align 4 pieces of the same kind yo erase them, pretty much like every other single puzzle game out there. There´s going to be a history mode where you will take the role of Lucy Lightfoot and rescue pokémons from an evil organisation and of course the multiplayer mode where the fun will begin. The game hits Japan on October 20th and i hope it´s as fun as Pokémon Puzzle.

Next we have Pokemon Fushigi no Dungeon Blue for the DS and Pokemon Fushigi no Dungeon Blue for the GBA, details were not given about these games but apparently it will be some kind of action RPG.

Additionally we have the first details on Pokémon Ranger coming next year right before Diamond and Pearl versions and will feature some kind of interaction with these games. Here you will take the role of a Pokémon Ranger (surprised?) and your mission will be work to protect the natural enviroment, save some pokémon in danger and some of the stuff we´ve seen this people do on the tv series.

Mario Superstar Baseball site prelaunch

Mario Superstar BaseballFor some reason Nintendo “prelaunched” Mario Superstar Baseball official site today. It doesn´t have a lot of content but you can get a cool Mario wallpaper, take a look at some screenshots and watch a teaser.

This game looks really fun, it´s the most expected one from the Mario sports series and will be launched on August 28th.

New Metroid Prime 3 Info

Metroid PrimeMetroid Prime 3 will be the last game of the trilogy and is coming for Nintendo Revolution. We knew pretty much nothing about the game except for the small and not very useful video Nintendo showed at e3.

Luminoth Temple had an exclusive interview with one of the developers who gave a couple details and general info on the game.

Metroid Prime 3 will be First person shooter as expected, “We don’t plan on using a third-person camera for the times when Samus is in a suit”. Dide he just gave a hint on Samus not wearing a suit at some point of the game? Maybe.

Expect to see some known enemies and concepts, such as Phazon, visual improvements and a lot of new weapons.

The game will have basically the same gameplay but it will also take advantage of the controller´s features wich of course we don´t know yet. “We plan on taking advantage of a number of new features in the Revolution, including the controller”

The game will launch on 2006, probably as one of the first games for the Revolution.

“Expand the definition of gaming”…Revolution conference?

Nintendo RevolutionI don´t want to get your hopes up guys but there is a tiny chance we´ll be getting some info on the Nintendo Revolution sooner than expected.

There´s a game convention in Germany this month (August 18th - 21st) and as you can see there´s a Nintendo 60 minutes conference scheduled for August 17th at 10:30 AM.

This wouldn´t be a big deal if the name of the conference wasn´t “Expand the definition of gaming”, but it is and we might get some details on the Revolution.

Cross your fingers but don´t jump out the window if here is not a lot of relevant information revealed.
