Check out this awesome Mario themed cake and Link shield ice sculpture. These pieces of art were created for Cory Stockton´s wedding. Cory is a Blizzard developer and since his only involvement with the wedding plans were these two things he decided to make them gaming related.

He also named the tables inspired on consoles, from the NES to the Wii.

Robot chicken does Zelda

By Nintendude under Zelda

I love robot chicken, specially when they do some awesome gaming parodies like this one where we get to see their vision of what would really happen if Link went to rescue Zelda.

Zelda: The twilight princess to include revolution functionality

By Nintendude under Zelda, Nintendo Revolution

We all knew this was coming when nintendo announced Twilight princess wouldn,´t be out for another 6 months at least. Several sources have confirmed that the game, while it´ll still be released for the cube, will be able to use the capabilities of the revolution controller when the console is launched.

With this added functions we´ll be able to use the sword, walk, etc using the freestyle controller. I´d like to see some other weapons making use of the controller, how about the bow? that would be really fun.

I´m starting to wonder if TP will come packed in 2 or more discs, i mean, with over 80 hours of gameplay, really nice graphics and revolution funcionality it would be possible.

Twilight Princess will be a really long game

By Nintendude under Twilight Princess, Zelda, Gamecube

tp logoA japanese gaming site is reporting that Twilight Princess, the next game on the Zelda series, will be featuring over 100 hours of gameplay!. That would make it the longest game of the series and probably, one of the longest adventure games ever.

A translation of the report is also stating that: “In other news of Twilight Princess, the newly added game mechanics (that have pushed the release date back), are supposedly the new benchmark for the Zelda series.

I know that all the delays will pay in the end and hopefully we will be seeing one of the best games ever but i just can´t wait to get my hands on it. I wonder what kind of game mechanics they are referring to, just in-game mechanics or maybe some extra funcionality to work with the wi fi connection and the revolution?.

Ocarina of time Hi Res mod released

By Nintendude under Zelda, Mods
celda

We´ve heard about this mod before but it´s finally been released. A guy made this really cool cel shaded mod for the original The legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time and it looks amazing.

You need an emulator and a copy of the game for the game to work. You also have to apply the textures wich can be troublesome.

Check out this thread at emutalk for all the information you need about this cool software mod.

Twilight Princess delayed

By Nintendude under Twilight Princess, Zelda, Nintendo News

Twilight Princess

Today in Nintendo news, the company has made a couple of announcements with both, bad and good news for us Nintendo fans.

The bad news is The legend of Zelda: Twlight Princess launch has been delayed to some point after March 2006. The game was expected to be the king of the holiday season and most stores were already listing it for November.

It seems like the game needs more developing time and they want to pulish the last single detail. I think we will find out more about the reason for this delay on the TGS. I wonder what will Nintendo do now for the holidays, i mean, Metroid Prime Hunters is coming on October(hopefully), the new pokémon versions also got pushed back and i don´t see another big game coming.

With this statement they also released 7 new Twilight Princess screenshots, you can check them out here.

Eiji Aonuma to direct Zelda Revolution

By Nintendude under Eiji Aonuma, Zelda, Nintendo News

Eiji Aonuma, director of both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess (among others) has revealed to an Latin American magazine (Club Nintendo i´m guessing) he´ll be directing the first Zelda game for the Revolution.

These are not amazing news since he´s been deeply involved with pretty much every Zelda game since Ocarina of time but if they already have a director we can guess the game is already on the works.

The legend of Zelda…and a lampshade?

By Nintendude under Zelda, Flash, Oddities
Zelda lampshade

No, it´s not the next game of Zelda for the DS. The legend of Zelda: The Lampshade of no real significance is a really fun flash game that parodies the world of Zelda´s games.

You can explore the town of “Hyscule” where you will find known characters such as Samus hanging out at…McDonalds? Okay, go and watch it yourself.

This game was made by the Super Flash Bros, an animation team you might already know about for their gaming related parodies and animations.
